Biogas Conditioning for Power Generation

• Client: Mc Cain Foods (GB) Ltd.
• Description:
• Multipoint collection of Biogas from the potatoes' waste solids digester systems.
• The Hydrogen Sulphide scrubbing system was designed to reduce H₂S from an inlet concentration of up to 5,000ppmv to an outlet concentration of < 150ppmv, at a maximum biogas flow of 900Nm³/h.
• Overall works design was based on varying inlet conditions and guarantee of outlet condition suitable for forward feed to the biogas engine.
• Scope:
• Design of overall scrubbing system (incorporating patented Paques Thiopak Scrubber), full MEICA, supply, installation commissioning.
